our story

Duncan Bro's Excavation & Civil Service is a family-owned and operated company based in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, specializing in excavation, water and sewer work, and civil services.

But the Duncan Bro's story started long before the company itself.

Before starting Duncan Bro's, Wyatt and his father each spent approximately 10 years working for the City, gaining hands-on experience with municipal water and sewer infrastructure. Both became certified in water and sewer distribution, collection, and treatment, building a strong understanding of the systems that keep homes, businesses, and communities running.

Wyatt worked in several areas of municipal operations, including the water and sewer crew, water treatment, water-meter and backflow-prevention oversight, and eventually as Utility Services Supervisor. His father served as the City’s Water and Sewer Systems Manager.

After years of working together and solving real infrastructure problems in the field, Wyatt and his dad decided to take that experience and build something of their own. They left the City at the same time and started Duncan Bro's Excavation & Civil Service, bringing their municipal experience, certifications, and work ethic into a family-run business.

Today, Duncan Bro's brings that same knowledge and attention to detail to every project. Water and sewer work remains a core specialty, alongside excavation, septic systems, foundation waterproofing, landscaping, and other site services.

From residential projects to commercial and civil work, the goal is simple: provide dependable service, quality workmanship, and the experience needed to get the job done right.
